Built for environments where dependable fire detection is critical, the Det-Tronics U5015 ClearView 3D™ Explosion-Proof Smoke Detector combines rugged industrial construction with advanced photoelectric smoke detection technology. Designed for hazardous locations, the U5015 provides reliable detection of both smoldering and rapidly growing fires while helping safety systems identify alarm and fault conditions.

The detector's distinctive housing is engineered for demanding industrial applications, with a robust sensor assembly and junction box configuration designed to withstand challenging operating conditions. Self-checking circuitry helps ensure reliable operation, while the integrated LED provides local visual indication when an alarm occurs. The U5015 also provides 0-20 mA output, along with alarm, auxiliary, and fault relays for integration with distributed control systems, PLCs, annunciating devices and fire panels.

Rated for hazardous environments, the U5015 is FM approved for Class I, Division 1 and Class I, Zone 1 applications and is also IECEx and CSA approved. Its rugged design and IP44 protection make it suitable for a wide range of onshore and offshore applications where conventional smoke detectors may not be appropriate.

The U5015 is particularly well suited to petrochemical facilities, oil and gas installations, combustible storage areas, chemical processing plants, turbine enclosures, battery rooms and HVAC applications. It can also be paired with the Q5017R duct mount accessory to monitor smoke in forced-air ductwork.
